PRIMARY EXPLORATION
Geology
- Foundation studies and preparing thematic maps of different scales.

Telemetry
- Combining satellite images to create multispectral analyses of them.
- Identification of geological trends and their continuity, such as folds, exposures and outcrops, separation of mineral veins and identifying the extension and slope of the layers in an area.

EXTRACTION
Ario is capable of handling mining operations of all levels, in every stage of the extraction cycle (from consultation to operation) using the knowledge and abilities of its engineers and experts along with its mining facilities and infrastructure.
EXTRACTION METHODS
The basis of economic calculations and the factor which determines the method of extraction, is the stripping ratio, which indicates whether or not a project is financially justifiable and how to approach it (open-pit mining or underground mining). This figure is a function of the cost of waste disposal and the value of the mineral, which are both variable parameters in need of constant revision, in accordance with the economic conditions and global price changes in short intervals.
- Open-pit Mining
In this method, waste disposal of the mineral mass is done on the surface, which the most common type of digging in this method is creating cone-shaped, horizontal benches. Estimation of the least amount of waste disposed of in comparison to the most tonnage of mineral extracted, is one of the design principles of this method. Planning and designing pits, ramps (accessing roads), and location of tailings as well as choosing the best method of waste and mineral transportation are considered the basic principles of open-pit mining.
- Underground Mining
In this method, based on the economical calculations waste extraction of mineral masses are not economically justifiable; therefore, by creating accessing paths, upright wells or horizontal sloped tunnels, the mineral mass is reached directly under the ground. By utilizing special vehicles in underground tunnels and networks, mined minerals, along with minimal amounts of waste attached to them, are moved to the surface for further processing. Stabilizing the underground pathways, ventilation and drainage are some of the day-to-day struggles of this method of mining.
